My planned RS Bergrennen track venue is going to be based on the Roßfeld hill climb in Germany, way up in the Bavarian Alps. I've got a small room in the basement that will handle these duties and promise I'll start a thread on the build soon. It's basically a 12' x 5' size track with elevation changes. Will look like this.

To set your mind straight, think bier, bratwurst, lederhosen, loud open megaphone Porsche 911s, vintage Porsche 908s, howling 5cyl turbocharged fire spitting Audi quattros and this.

Wait a minute, race track venue in the Alps - stay focused - visualze this too.

Ok, now that I've got your attention, back to the subject Unimog'ster.
The proper rescue rig for this area is usually a Volkswagen T4 syncro, T5 Eurovan or something similar like the new VW Anorak pickup. I'm going with what I want at my track and decided to build a Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 to "Bergwacht" (Alpine Rescue) standards instead! (see above rendition for decals and graphics).
Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 for inspiration

Silly youtube inspiration video of a track cleaning Unimog beast with lights!

Mix it all up and follow me along on this build. Maybe it will be static, maybe I'll build him a cousin cleaner, maybe it will be a monster MOG!
Cheers, Thompson
