Awww For five cents!

This Carrera Cuda that I have been working on has developed a new issue. The chassis has a twist in it. I did a quick, unsuccessful search to see if there was a thread on straightening a Carrera chassis. I twisted it straight but after a while it began to twist back. So I sure could use some advice on how to straighten it.

Are you trying to use the stock chassis that came with the car?
If so I probably have one or two or four of them laying around if you need one.

Have you tried securing it to a flat plate and boiling it? I've seen that referenced in this posting:

And one of the guys at the club had a Fly chassis that he got used that was warped up that he stuck to a flat steel plate and actually submerged in boiling water for 5 minutes - he said he had to shim the low spot up and go a second round to get it 100% - but after that it was good to go... I imagine that you can find additional info on doing that method on the net that may give additional pointers - but can't say as I have tried it myself.
(not sure if that helps - but it is pretty much a zero cost item to try?)

Believe me it works. I've fix a couple this way, it works on warped bodies too. Just boil a kettle of water, submerge it and let it cool on it's own to room temp and your ready to go!
