A friend came over today and brought a motor, that we slapped into my red, # 96, MRRC Cobra. Man, what a difference! I always thought this car was a "thing of beauty" and now, it runs great! The motor that came in that thing, was way too hot for my taste. Now, it is a real joy to run! Anyone one else, have a similar experience?
Are, there other cars that come with crazy "hot" motors that I need to be aware of, before I plunk down the green?

The MRRC Cobra's are some nice looking cars, but the original motors are a joke. Not even close to scale speed. They do run much better with a milder motor and are much more enjoyable. As for other cars with hot motors, some of the Revell's are like that too. :)

And the 1960s F-1s from Scaley, too. Crazy to put motors like that in them.

Makes for pretty entertaining racing on the commercial track though (with the high power motors) where the corners are relatively mild and the straights are fairly long... :)
(I can see where they would be a real handful on a short tight / technical type track though!)
