My Black Arrow white kit arrived today, Monday March 10. It came the way all slot cars should be packaged, in a plain brown cardboard box. They put all the money in the car. It is not bare white plastic but rather painted a nice smooth glossy white. If Pattos makes the decals for the white young drivers version I may do it. There are three bags of parts and the body in the box. No instructions were included but a quick visit to the Black Arrow website reveals a downloadable instruction book and exploded drawings of the body and chassis assembly. The pages with the exploded drawings are labeled in Spanish but the 7 page instruction book is available in several languages. No wrenches were included with this white kit so if they are a different size than what slot.it uses I will need to order them. As delivered this car comes with a 28k rpm motor. I will probably assemble it with this motor but switch to one in the 21.5k range for my medium length tracks. If a slot.it inline motor pod fits I may go with the orange endbell motor. I will post some images as the build progresses.

They are beautiful quality cars. I held one in my hands for a brief moment before I sent it off to its intended recipient. As it was a present I had to resist temptation to get it out and give it a run.

Keep us posted, Bob. This is the smoothest, most technologically advanced car I own. It just purrs when it goes around the track.

Well, if I can't find another state side source for those tools I guess I will have to wait another month to get started as this kit came 100% disassembled. Another slotter over in SCI stated that his kit came with the wrenches at no additional charge so I did not order them with the car.
Follow up. I found out they are commonly available and have ordered a set. :banana-dance:

Hopefully the tools will arrive later this week and allow me to get it running by the weekend. Just a note, being impatient I ordered the white kit which comes 100% disassembled body and chassis. Even though I saved a few dollars this way I think it would be worth it for most people to pay the extra for an assembled car. BTW, according to an email notice I got, it is now being sold by one of the English online stores.
