Fun Racing Today

Jim made it down for visit today and we had a ball as usual. Made him a light breakfast and it was time for action.



This old warrior in 1/24 started things off. He repaired/rebuilt it and it's a great effort. I took second place.



Another pair in 1/24. Jim's bowtie was tough as it looks. Close race with a strong second place showing.



Jim rebuilt this Panasonic/Pepsi NINCO to run against mine. Oufitted with CB Design on all 4 corners and PG tires in the rear. Very close racing as we hoped. They might be old models but they ran like new and was great seeing them in action.



DixonJohn showed up and we had to break out the Slot.its. Another timeless series of models for us and we had very close combat. I did very here with a strong 3rd place showing.



Ah, good old classics. I would say this race was as close as it gets. The Carrera Cobra held it's own against Jim's well tuned Vette. I almost took first.



The Racer series is one of our new favorites. The sight of the Capri's in action is something we never tire of. Great looking cars that provide close slot fighting.

Thanks Jim for making the trip and Dixon John for coming over. About the best way to spend a Monday I would say :)

Johnny, I just a 1 inch cheap brush. I masked off the outside with 1 inch masking tape.

Biscuits and gravy using extra sage sausage. Nothing fancy, but he choked it down.

I finally mailed a package to HRWJim today after being snowed in for days last week. Today I'm wearing shorts. C'mon, Springtime!

Looks like fun today, guys. Maybe its the start of something this year. I want to do a jalopy like that one. That is classic.

Had a great time today! John I'm glad you stopped by it was good seeing you. Harry thanks for the car, I owe you one and thanks for breakfast. Wish I could have stayed longer. It's your guys turn to drive down next. The old Girl( no. 12) would have never hit the track again if it wasn't for the RazorJohn setup block. That car was a mess. LOL Thanks for the great product . Great report. Glad you found the time to take pictures. You are so right about the Ninco BMW LMP cars being a great drive. But, ooooooh that Corvette is sublime.

Slot racing & grilling..well, at least we would accomplish something? :) I can start sending you guys listings for the area? You want double or single wide? :P

By he way, had a great race with good old Fly Classics. John and I had original sidewinders and Jim had a newer Flyslot Ferrari inline. Dead even racing on our smaller layout. One mistake and it cost you. One thing was clear and that was the inline model was just as good and fit right in.
