That is one of the best flame jobs I've seen in scale.

Damn. That's just plain gorgeous. Very tempting. Looks like he's using 2 pack urethane.

I knew that I really liked the look of the Falcon XB's as a race car - but seeing that makes me want to convert one of them to a "street" car! WOW!

Embs, that John Goss Special that I put up a link for a while back was by the same person and it went for $300.
But I reckon that means he/she is making about 2 bucks an hour by the work in that.
I thinks there's a fair few hours gone into that Black one.

I need to learn how to get my air brush to lay down a finer finish after seeing that!
(Still in awe - when you consider that is 1/32 scale!) :)
To bad the seller doesn't ship world wide!

Just want to make it clear I am not belittling this chap's work at all. I think it's really good. The skills and finish involved are very impressive.
But, I also think it shows how spoilt we are with the tiny amount we pay for our slot cars in the first place. Look at some the smaller resin producers like TopSlot who charge around AUD200 for a hand built full car with photo etched detail and quality running gear.
The XB is still a Scalex car underneath. Only now it's a Scalex car with an awesome paint job. :)

The car does look incredible. At least part of the credit goes to his photography. Look at the other cars he has for sale in his other items area they are all new in box. The shine he somehow gets even on those cars is really incredible. They look like they have been custom painted as well.

It is a beautiful paint job on a fantastic car.
Here is my question: In order to get that type of finish do you have to use automotive paint? I have been reading that if you thin it out and make numerous coats you can get a very high gloss finish.
