SCX Hummer now a track cleaner

Bob that's pretty awesome.
I remember my Dad making something similar with a railway wagon for his trains.
But that's gone a step further.

Great way to clean those hard to get at places, and turn a boring but necessary job into something more fun.

My motivation for doing this was due to the fact that size of the layout forces it to be up against one wall in my space making most of the track inaccessible from my wheelchair and the location is in a dust pit. It only takes a couple of days of inactivity for the track to accumulate enough dust to make driving almost impossible.

BTW, after deciding what I wanted to do it only took about 15 minutes to assemble the materials and make the device. It can be removed from the Hummer easily if I ever want to use it for something else.

Thanks for the ideas. That got the old gears grinding upstairs for now I'll need to make some planetary reductions and then setup up my little swifer mop with wheels and power to drive around my track in the center lane while cleaning the whole track.
