I just took out my Morgan Aero 8 I purchased from Bruce.
I miss getting on the phone and talking slots for ever it seemed.
Slot on Dude, in the great track in the sky.
How ling has it been now? Can me set up a Proxy race of Da Voles cars only? I have a couple.

Bruce was awesome and I do miss his insightful posts, knowledge and all around "good guyness". He and I certainly bought a few of each others cars for sure.

He is missed on a personal level and the forums are a little less fun without him

He's really missed here in Knoxville. I'm pretty sure it'll be four years, this Thanksgiving.

At the time I was staying home in the morning taking care of my youngest, working the second shift when my wife came home from work. About once a week, Sara and I would go over to Bruce's and run the cars... well... Bruce and I would run cars, Sara would pet Kallie the cat and watch cartoons. Every now and then, my brother would come over to my house, Bruce would meet us here and we would run cars for along time.

I think all of us have cars that Bruce owned, seems like he never kept too many at one time or for very long. Speaking of proxies, he founded the Forums Cup NASCAR proxy on SCI. After his passing, Jaybird and others kept it going, renamed it the Da Vols Cup and they are planning 2014 now.

I thought of Bruce the other day actually....

....I was on a totally unrelated forum and ran across someone with a similar name.... My first thought was, What is Bruce doing on this forum?
(was a 1:1 car forum), then I remembered he had left us.

A good guy and a valued contributor on the slot car forums!
