Hello all, i am new to this site, but not new to slot car racing, i am however just getting back into the hobby after 20 years off.
i currently have a 6ft by 16ft artin track that converts from four lane oval to two lane road course. mostly leftover strombecker slots with a few recent purchases of modern cars. I have enjoyed learning from reading the tech tips on this site, and thought i would join the group. i am 56 years old and now have two sons-in laws that are in awe of 1/32 slot cars, having been brought up on video games, they never new the joy of real toys! lol.I hope i can learn more, and maybe share some older knowledge if i have any. i enjoy non magnet racing as they call it now,and scratch building cars.
thanks for your time.

Thanks for the welcome! i am not really great at computer operation in as far as picture posting and such, but i have some help i can call on. I live in central Georgia, just south of Macon, and would love to hear from anyone close by. there are no true hobby stores ,or commercial tracks around here anymore, and slot fans are few and far between.

Welcome, Bob. You will quickly note that if there is something you don't know, there will be someone on here that does. Also this site is like an old fashioned
"General Store" of slot racing where the folks wander in and hang out. You won't find a better group anyplace on the web, regardless of subject.
As far as Ga; the "Household Manager"s Son is stationed at Ft Benning and he lives near Warm Springs. Maybe on one of our trips I can make a detour........
Again :text-welcomewave:

And I was born at Fort Benning. My eldest son lives in Athens, but he thinks I'm a little nuts with my toy cars. Give him a few years.

Welcome to the addiction Bob! There is a wealth of knowledge here. All you have to do is ask, and someone will know. We sometimes get a bit zany in here, but it's all in good fun. I consider myself one of the less sane ones. :text-welcomewave:
