Finally a Z-car....WooHoo!

Those are really nice and I'll have to have at least one to go with the 2 510s I have. I've been waiting for a Z for a long time!

I'll probably end up with one of these. Back when I graduated from college the 240Z was just entering the market and I would have gotten one but for one problem. The first batches imported were all manual transmissions and my physical condition dictated my need to drive an automatic. I ended up getting a Chevy Vega GT. Would have been a world beater but for it's aluminum block engine.

These are really quite nice. The 240z is one of those cars I wish I was able to get when I was a teenager.

Dave, a black 240z was the first car I ever bought! It was stolen and replaced by a 260z 2+2. I threw a rod while racing on Freeway 10 in SanBernadino back in the mid 80's. Had it rebuilt and ran/raced it for two more years. Sold it to buy my first 914! Shortly after that, I began my "car of the month" club. I must have bought and sold at least 10 cars (914 v/8 conversion, 911T, RX7, Saab, 1600, 2002, 320i, 924, MR2, Bavarian, 520i) in the next 4-5 years.

Nothing beat the fun I had in that first 4 speed 240z!

Did I ever cruise E street?! Of course I did, what else was there to do?? LOL. Between cruising E street in the evening and trying to pick up girls at the mall during the afternoon (with some basketball and a couple of dances at the convention center), that was my whole social agenda!

I took some classes at Sn Bdo comm. coll. when I first arrived from N.Y. and finished up at UCR.

My mom still lives in Rialto.

That Z is a DOLL!!!

Side note on the Vega, I raced one in K/Prod. Cylinders were fine. We put V8 umbrella valve seals on them and the oil issue went away. Head gasket seal was an issue too. GM had an additive for alloy block cars that took care of that. Went 80,000 miles on mine. Spun a bearing at 75+MPH in a long sweeper turn that killed my engine...great handler.. I'd have another.

I'm looking forward to these.
