Supertire for Carrera question

Ok, I don't see a listing for the Carrera 935 shown below. Has anybody found a Supertire to fit this car? I really want to run it but the stock tires just aren't good enough for non-mag racing.
I borrowed the photo from another thread.

You should contact Slot Car Corner, they would know if there was a Super Tire that would work.

Thanks Rich but that didn't get me anywhere. They said they wouldn't make that tire. I think they wanted measurements or to send the car in but I never got there.

SCC developed a tire for those Carrera 917/10 and they are really good! I got some for my Sunoco 917/10 and added a Scalextric bar magnet and it really flies! I would like to see SCC develop a tire for the 935 - it would be awesome. :music-rockout:

A supertire would be better or a maxtrac for sure but a 3001 Indygrip fits on mine

I run the PG urethane tires on my non mag Carrera 935/78. It's a strugle still with my tuning skills, mostly I just enjoy the car for it's looks. I've had more time on the early chassis w/D132 chip than the later D132 chassis car so it performs better as a result.
Good luck on your quest.

Thanks, Christian, that's a piece of info I needed years ago. No kidding, that explains a lot! I wonder why nobody ever told me that? Thank you again.
Bruce, Paul Gage, dude. That's the way to go, and if he doesn't have it, you can have them made in urethane a lot easier than in silicone. Be sure to let us know what happened with this. There are a lot of cars from previous issues that will be needing new tires in the next few years and it would be good to know how this works out for you.

When that car first came out I tried to find a tire that would fit and the tire I came up with was the tire that fits the Fly Capri. You have to stretch it to make it fit, It fit on the rim nice and flat. I did not try it with ST tires I used Indy grips at the time.

That may be the answer. Either Yellow Dogs or Paul Gage.

I'm still looking. I really want the Supertire brand. It seems to work the best on my track. I'm let you know if anything pops up. Thanks for the replies.

Some further clarification that might help clear things up a bit. Super Tires is the brand (and a registered trademark). For 1:32 cars, Super Tires are available in two (2) compounds.
The first 1:32 Super Tires compound is silicone. This was the original compound for 1:32 cars - it is sometimes referred to as "Classic Super Tires" or just "Classics".
The second 1:32 Super Tires compound is urethane. This compound is often referred to as "Yellow Dog Super Tires" or just "Yellow Dogs" (in honor of Dan O'Grady, an upstate NY racer who goes by the nickname "Yellow Dog").
In Bruce's case, he is interested in the "Classic" Super Tires compound (silicone).

Ok, it took me a little time to get back to this. The best fit I found was the 1308R. Now this is not a perfect fit. It leaves the tire slightly concave. So to fix this I just added electrical tape around the center rim rib until the tire laid flat.
Thank for the input.

" I just added electrical tape around the center rim rib until the tire laid flat"
That is the can-do attitude. Great idea Bruce.
