I shared these pics with Harry yesterday and thought some of the T/A fans would like them too. This Camaro has the new chassis and guide, not sure what they have done with these tires as they hook up great on my wood track. Straight out of the case this thing runs great on my track with no tuning at all. Much different handling car than previous Camaro's and its super smooth and quiet. Oh yeah the paint is not to shabby either in its electric-like blue color. :dance:

That is a beauty! On my list for sure after seeing yours in person. I agree with the tire comment - interesting change and it works well. We ran one of Marty's new Challengers last night with the new tires - perfect on wood out if the box!

This has been on my list for awhile just based on looks alone.

Carrera has changed compounds couple years ago as well.

Stock tires are getting better. They may not last forever, but I am enjoying them while they do.

I sure have noticed that. When we were doing that Mini proxy, I experimented with wheels and tires for the Caterham, and my older tires were a completely different texture from the last one I bought. Then, I saw the same thing even more improved when Carrera changed their compound. Feels good to know manufacturers are still on the job, not just cranking out the same stuff, no matter how good the product to begin with.

There's a story about Pierce-Arrow and Rolls-Royce. They both knew they were building the finest cars in the world at one point in the 1930s. Pierce decided to continue making the cars they made the same way, making only the slightest changes, mostly to facilitate the manufacturing process, to maintain the highest quality. Rolls more or less said that they would keep trying to make their car better and better, not being shy about the changes, as their plan to stay on top of the "quality" heap. Pierce was gone in less than ten years, left behind by the entire industry, still building some of the best cars ever made. Rolls-Royce is still the name most people think of when they are asked about the finest car name.

I've had one of them for awhile. The paint is really nice, and even better since I polished out. Of course I couldn't leave it alone. I added a set of Sloting Plus America wheels, Slot It front tires and guide with a pair of Super Tires Yellow Dogs on the rear wheels. :)

Scaley has changed the guide, again? I guess I missed that. Any pictures or a link to previous descriptions? In the 1930's R-R and P-A made some of the finest cars of the time. But right up there (maybe leading by a nose?) was the fabulous Duesenberg, made in Indianapolis, Indiana. That car was a doozy!

This car and the #3 '70(?) Camaro are the fastest ones that I have tuned out of all the ones I have touched.

Holy Bankruptcy Batman, not another slot car!

My last purchase was the #87 Scaley Camaro, and it hasn't even been on a track yet. I'd convinced myself I could live without the #3 (C3431) Camaro, but now you've got me thinking...

I really like the America wheels as they kind of have that old school look to them which looks good on the older cars. :) I used them on the Cougar too, but painted the spokes black. 8-)
