How 'Delicate' or 'Robust' are the Scaley Vintage GP Cars?

Postby pgtr » Sat Jun 14, 2014 3:36 pm

Like the Gurney Eagle or the Lotus 49 ?

I race my cars and yes they have their fair shares of spills. Mirrors usually come off and occasionally wings. I only have 'full body' type race cars to date. Wondering if these open wheel cars will come apart under regular use with some aggressive driving?

thanks

No, won't come apart. Raced them now for a few years and we have our share of tangles. Nothing broken yet.

But if you are running magnets and over voltage (over 12) I suppose you will damage them over time.

I'd say they are pretty tough for what they are.

The only problem I have had with mine were broken or dislodged exhaust pipes. But they were easy to repair.

Great subject, as I too have pondered this very question. Good to know, that they are durable and worthy of purchasing. I've already added some to my list. I'm particularly fond of that #10 McLaren M7C from another thread, along with the Dan Gurney Eagle and a few more. Too bad that my "list" always seems to be larger than my wallet! lol :text-goodpost:
