Dave Kennedy.....you can get in trouble tempting children with candy like this! :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
I used to have a yellow 1974 Capri and had even painted the hood flat black.......hmmm how much can you get for a pint of blood these days?

That's some serious eye candy! Love the Monza. Any chance we might ever see that one again? A buddy had one about ten years ago. It took him about 5 hours with files and a rotary tool to get it light enough to run with anything else, but it was worth the effort. Looked really cool with the Greenwoods, Fly Capris, Celicas and the Monogram BMW in our "Wingey Thingeys" (Group 5) class.
I also dig all of the Capris.

Digital only? Or will it soon be available in analog?
My first car was a yellow 1974 Capri. I swear it had a magnet on the back, attracting other cars...

Dave, Of course you know I bought one within 20 seconds of seeing it listed on Ebay! So when are you guys going to do a stock bodied (non flared) MK!? Remember...I told you the Capri RS would be a hit before you brought them into the country! And I was right!

Well Don it's unlikely as I've said in the past to make another Capri since we already make this one. I'm glad you're excited about this car and I love the decoration on it.

Dave - the new Capri looks awesome! Nice lineup there too!
Don - after MANY long years of waiting, mine is just about to be released.

Good to hear! I still make mine as well, but I was hoping someone would mass produce them so I wouldn't have to worry about finishing them, making them strong enough to last but light enough to race, mixing and matching chassis, finding the correct wheels...the whole resin casting deal. I've made so many for myself and other fans I've worn out over six molds!
I keep hoping Carrera will lead the way because I love the quality and accuracy of their RS Capri series. I was hoping the sales success of the RS Capri would convince them to build a stock bodied version. There certainly were enough liveries to chose from!
The SRC RS Capris were fantastic as far as detail, but expensive, fragile and too short lived/
If you want a critique of your efforts I would love to oblige!
BTW...in my driveway are three 1:1 MK 1 Capri! My daily driver '73 2600 V6, a friends '72 2000cc I4 that sat disassembled in a body shop of over 15 years that I'm putting back together for him, and another '73 shell that I've finally gotten all the pieces for to covert it to a RS flared replica, but with a warmed over '93 302V8 and a Tremec World Class 5 Speed. Picture a 2400 pound car with 325+ horsepower....

Dave, it took me a minute or two to figure out what the livery represented. Then I figured out Motor77 is a German Automobile Magazine. Does the livery represent a car they tested , or a project car of theirs?
