Great Month of Racing in Maryland

August looks to be an outstanding month for 1/32 racing in the Pasadena Maryland area. Tomorrow there is a Racer Resin regional at one of the best 1/32-1/24 new wooden tracks to be built in a very long time at Phase II slot car center on Mountain Road in Pasadena Maryland. The shop opens at 9:00 with racing to begin at about 12:00. This is a qualifier with the top four racers earning a spot in the finals to be held in the Philly Area.
On 8-16 there will be a Vintage Scalextric Trans Am qualifier at Race Wear which is only about 7 miles from Phase II, see the track locator for the address. This race will also be a regional qualifier for the National Trans Am race to be held in the Philly Area. Note, this race will be held on an ultra fast Carrera Track.
On 8-23 the Vintage Scalextric Trans Am cars will be at Phase II for a final race to attempt to qualify for the big national race.

So, if you are near the Glen Burney, Pasadena area be sure to make a couple of these races. Who said that slot car racing had to go into hibernation during the summer?
