Well what a week. Been doing a lot of cleaning and such because a special VIP arrives tomorrow. :) And Locoracer Tom finally retired and he can also be here more often. It will be nice to have him around a little more.
Seen a few new cars coming here and there, pretty soon we won't be able to keep up :)
Hope all of you have a fun weekend.

I bought a couple of Mustangs from Rusty the other day, fixed one and stripped the other. I may finish up the one I stripped this weekend, then if the weather lets me, its on to the 1:1 cars that need TLC.

I probably have the best job there is to do this weekend! I have about 60 1/32 cars to run and check out that i just got on trade.! Thats going to be a hard one to beat right there! I might even cut the grass,if i have to take a trigger finger break, would not want to get a cramp testing all these great cars!

My honeycomb jig got here yesterday, it is going to get broken in today!! Good point on those air gun trim nails Harry, they work great. Stripped one monogram classic that will get some mods before primer and dropped in as 69 scally that I will be starting a brass chassis for. Starting my new "Saturday Night Short Track" series. And if my help shows up this week-end, I can start getting my track tables back up.

A 60 car trade!?!?!
I think the biggest trade I ever did was 8 for a dozen, and I don't know many people who aren't dealers who have done more than 5 at a time.

Due to my upcoming surgery, I may be cleaning out my collection of 1/32 cars that are shelf queens just sitting.
I will keep my regular "go to" cars I race regularly.
Be looking for my postings of various lots of cars in the future.

Yeah, Lee. Take courage. If I can build one (so far that's it) you shouldn't have any trouble at all. It is rather satisfying to see something you cobble together yourself come to life and actually run smoothly.
Looking forward to seeing it come together.

Wondering who Harry's VIP is this time, because I haven't got my tickets yet. ;)
Might give myself some track time. Need to wind down from the joys of dealing with bureaucracy.

Cool beans sir.
Told ya I had royalty coming. :)
MENU:
Marinted baby backs AND a brisket to go on the smoker early. Tater salad, beans and some good bread to finish it off.
Then some serious action on the track. I hear some nice customs are in store :)
Tom is coming here in a few as well.

I don't have much to add in regards to a slotting weekend. However, just this week I received my MT Resins '65 Chevelle casting. Nice casting! The wheelbase is one of those "tweener's": In between the Carrera COT chassis (wheelbase too short) and the '57 or classic Nascar chassis (wheelbase too long). Hm.
OH... and I DO plan to dig out my slot stuff this weekend and start dusting it off so I can take inventory of where I'm at with this hobby since my last semi-active period. Gotta' a feelin' I need to get some things running before I buy more stuff.
Have fun!
