That's a very nice one, Bob. With e bit of work, it can be made a good runner. One of the youngsters at our club had done quite a bit of modifying, such as a new motor , gears and tyres. He did the ride height and balanced the chassis and now he competes with the NSR Corvettes.

I said it was an anglewinder originally but the description at the online store shows it either as inline or a sidewinder. I think the original Scaleauto motor is rated at 25K so the original owner decided to tame it down a bit, or the local rules limited motor rating.

I never buy anything used, if it's not new, it's just someone else's headaches you are buying. It's true of any scale from ho to 1:1.

Some take pride in fixing other people's headaches. Me? I have enough fun trying to fix my own. :)
Nice pickup Bob.

Used is just fine by me, if you can get a good deal, go for it. Most times they just need a little attention and you end up with a fine running car.
Most new models are the same. I spend time tuning those as well, so if I find a good deal on a used model I don't hesitate normally.

Bob - Nice car! I have zero problems with used since I go through the car anyway.

Congrats on yet another nice score MB!
And, just for the record, I too, will try to buy "used" every time. Maybe I've been lucky, but I've not bought a single used car that's disappointed me, yet. They've all been "as described". They usually only require, a cleaning, lube and once in a while, new tires, for me to be happy.
