Unfortunately,thats actually the 4-cylinder Eagle.-quite a bit different from the Scalextric car. Pity, because that It is a great livery .Al Pease has the unenviable record of being the only driver in F1 history to be black-flagged for being too slow.In all fairness,it was a hopelessly outclassed car by then.I seem to remember Pease was a very capable driver.

Even if that car isn't identical to the Gurney Eagle, it would be a great livery to do. It's certainly identifiable as an Eagle with that nose, even if some other details don't match up. When a company does something as specialized as the Eagle, I cut them a little slack so they can make some money on the car.

The Coventry Climax four banger was already out of date when it was used in the 1967 car. The Harry Westlake
designed V-12 was having fuel injection problems and just not ready for prime time. I believe they changed
from Lucas to Tecalemet f.i. If any of you have a car powered with the Westlake V-12, you should be able to
confirm this. The engine was also used in the John Wyer Mirage. Anyway, the Climax was reliable, and was used
for several races, where it always finished, just not first. Not enough oomph.

The '67 Eagle is one of the best looking race cars of all time.
The '67 Grand Prix and Indy car are almost identical except for engines & tire/wheel size.
It would be great if Scalextric made some of the Indy car versions. There are over ten as there were customer cars and most were raced for at least three years.

Sorry to be pedantic,but its Weslake not Westlake. I agree that an Indy Eagle is a great idea-we need more(affordable) Indy cars anyway.
