Grandson having fun!

My grandson is here for his weekend with us. Tonight we are down in HRW HQ and he wanted to do some racing.



Told him to pick a car and it is his. He picked the Carrera Ferrari. This car gets picked a lot!



But he wanted to do more. He asked what all the tools were for...so I told him to sit down and we would do some quick tuning. He was very happy to do it :)



I showed him once how to use the Razor, and he learned fast. He did his own wheels and installed the Paul Gage tires and then sanded them clean.



He was doing well on his first laps, but he learned where he needed to improve. CLOSE call, but he did not come out. Kids have a great recovery time.



He now has a good feel for it and really having a ball. He turned a fast lap of 4.242 which is pretty good! :dance:

Glad to see an older grandson having fun too. We aren't tuning here yet.....but when they ask about the tools and want to use them, that's always a good sign! Well done, sir.

Now the question........can he beat the track owner yet? :lol:

Looks like he is on his way to being a slot racer. Of course it's in the genes. It's nice to see younger people take an interest in our hobby. 8-)
