Looks good. Looks like you might be able to get the driver down a little more if you take to his butt (and hips) with a file.
Fitting drivers into other slot cars and getting the to look right is no easy task.

That looks fantastic! Nice restore on that classic.
I have to ask what you used for the headlights...are those fake fingernails? Seriously, I've seen it done and that's just what it reminded me of.

 Well you got me! Yes they are!, they came with a cheapo air brush set I bought off e-bay. along with some kick a## colors for use on nails, or in my case, slot cars! You still have to shape them though, and its not easier than plastic bottle feet.

Another nice one Bob. I love Artin chassis under these classics because I love how well the Artins slide so predictably on wood.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I am very pleased with the way this one turned out, especially given the fact that very little expense was involved. It is always fun to bring back an oldie, not just restore it, but make it race able without loosing to much of the original character. I love the original cars, but if they are relinquished to shelf status, they don't do anyone any good.

I love it, i have this body, I was going to make a brass chassis for it. I also have a couple of artin chassis in my scrap box. Now I'm wondering what modifications you made, i like the way they handle too.
