A dose of gout part 2 Celica

Postby chris » Mon Oct 06, 2014 3:33 am

I bought this kit way back in the late 1980's. We are starting an Under 2 litre Challenge Cup and to get some variety we allowed any plastic or resin body but the chassis can only be trimmed around the edges, magnet removed and weight added plus aftermarket tyres. I made the wheel flares and front spoiler, filled the hole where a key wound the clockwork motor and the rear spoiler is off a Camaro. Sits neatly on an SCX Escort chassis.

There is a professor here at Baldwin-Wallace college in Berea that drives a real early '70s Celica like yours every day. It is a really nice little car! I would love to own it! It is that medium blue color also.

Yours is really sweet looking!

I love these neat little builds that are a bit different!

Yes!!! Love these early Celicas. Had an LT1800 myself. A pillarless coupe always looks good.
