I'm going to be running some FF-050 slimcan motors and I want to be able to change the pinion gears. Is there a good 1.5mm pinion puller/press; either as separate items or as a combined unit?

The Slot.it one offers options for both motor shaft sizes.

Hi Ember, I don't think that the Slot.It puller/press works for 1.5mm shafts. I have one and if it did, then that would be great.

I found one that Scaleauto makes; expensive, but it looks like it will do the job well.

Florida_Slotter, once I get the gear off, I may well go to the 2.0mm sleeve for the two reasons that you mentioned; thanks.

They have some additional parts available for the Slot.it one Audi. The extras even allow for pressing pinions in situ (for those of us that solder a motor in place and realise there is no pinion on it)

SP21 supposedly does 2.0 and 1.5 shafts. Check the barrel thing at the bottom. Trying to find the details on the Slot.it website.

Mr Slotcar has one specifically for 1.5mm shaft. But I'm still sure the Slot.it one is supposed to deal with the 1.5mm as well.

I didn't have a standard press. The only one that I have is the Slot.It gear puller/press and I didn't know whether or not that dual-ended screw worked in that unit. Otherwise, it looks like a great way to go.
