NSR 25K King 350gcm Really???

Bought a NSR 25k King as an upgrade for a class I run in. Its a heavy car so 350gcm of torque was just the ticket. Measured the motor at 12V and in came in at 257gcm. Way short of the listed torque. Speed came in at 27k, up on the quoted 25K. Has anyone else actually measured these motors? Have I just got a dud or is NSR being very optimistic?

Surprise! We did it to death years ago, and these days, everybody I know uses the excellent motor list link that appears on all the motor discussions on this forum. I will say, I have never found an NSR motor that was short of advertized specs. For the Land Speed Record, I ran two of the hottest NSR motors counter rotating under a Mercedes Streamliner body. Insanely fast.
I found it...

You know tolerances and Chinese manufacturing... The ratings on the wrapper are more than likely an average of a group testing. You got the lucky dud of the batch.

Looks like a label misprint to me. All the specs mentioned do appear on the NSR list, just not on the same motor.

In my Scaleauto Porsche build, I brought up the incorrect markings for the pinon size. I emailed NSR and the answer I was given equated to "close enough".

*gasps for breath after hooting loudly*
I never heard about that one. Reminds me of a line from The Gumball Rally, "Whatsa behind me doesn't matter!", and he tears the rear view mirror off and tosses it.

Hmmm.... Not a response that would've been received when Giovanni was still around.

I was thinking the other day about his wife and little boy and the pictures.

That was Salvatore. Giovanni was his design partner. He left the company in January.
