I made a very similar mod to the same Ninco E Type but instead used BRM wire wheels made for ninco axles. Really happy with the results. BRM tires that came with them hook up really well. I also have a set of Racer wire wheels on an Aston Martin and to my eye they look a little more realistic than BRM wheels but both are very nice.

You were lucky to have an $80 set of wheels available to make the mod.They really do make that Jag sparkle.
