I have this car and love it. My question is did it race in the Trans Am series in the 70's, or in the Historic series being run these days for cars from that era? If so, anyone know who drove it? It says "Jack" on the roof and my best guess is Jack Colwell, but don't know where I got that.

Can't find out much about this car in a quick search..
In 2002, someone named Jack Cowell drove a #33 Camaro in a vintage T/A race.. was a DNF. No pics..

This car was raced in the early '70s Trans-Am ,first owned by a Texan named Richard Raintree hence RR Racing . This car has some history. I got this info from Electric Dreams site on the ad for this car. Hope it helps.

It was the Yellow #48 1970 Chevrolet Camaro, built by Dick Hoffman and his partner David Horchler (He was the driver). Both had been employed at General Motors and for privateers they were very sucessful. They sold it to Raintree who did the repaint.

Regardless of it's pedigree, it's a sharp looking slot car. I have the blue #33 in my collection.

Thanks for the help guys. It is a beautiful car and will stay on my Trans Am roster based on this info with Jack Colwell listed as the driver. It's a quick car with silicone tires and when I put a spacer on the rear axle to tighten it up a bit it should be very smooth.
I also have the #48 yellow Camaro with unique graphics in red and black, and am listing Dick Hoffman as the driver (just saw this car and driver pair for the Trans Am Mid-Ohio race in 1967).
HRW is amazing, how lucky we are to have this place to share our passion for racing and slot cars.
