TGIF - Great time of year

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Fri Dec 05, 2014 8:48 am

What a week of slots, it's been a busy one around here. Some of the new releases I had to have came through and time to start tuning and enjoying them. Carrera really made a winner with this VW...what a great car to race. This time of year is a favorite among a lot of us, and the next couple weeks should see even more new models hit the shelves. Hope you have been good boys and girls :)

More build projects of course, and more on the way. And from the news I have been hearing, in the next few weeks the scratchbuilder will have more reasons to smile.

Some cool fun runs happening too, that is great to see.

Today we are heading to the big city and do a little shopping. Wonder what I can scrounge up?

Hope all of you have a great weekend. Look forward in seeing more of you in the build thread going on. No time like right now to dive in and get your hands dirty.

There are lots of new cars out. I seen one of the Legends Formula cars at my LHS, but didn't get it. I gotta save some funds for my trip to Arizona. Should be a good one. I haven't seen my brother face to face since 1978. I'll be there for awhile, so I won't get to post much if any. Everyone have a great Christmas!! Wonder if there are any slot car guys in Phoenix? :)

It was Christmas before Christmas today. Had a great time with The General going to the big city. Stopped off and saw HRW Jim hard at work, but he had time to buy me a tall Starbucks fancy coffee. I like that about him.

Then it was to the hobby shops and Westlake hardware to clean them out of the brass I needed. Finished it off with a GREAT BURGER from Five Guys. Came home and had a nice little box from SCC arrive. I think I have enough to get through the rest of this month.

But the real surprise was again from Jim who presented me with a great NINCO classic. Even outfitted with classic NC-1 for power and PG tires.

Thanks Jim, what a great gift. And thanks to The General for taking me to town.

Now time to get busy :)

Wow nice collection of treasures. I've been home all day with a sick little guy and now my youngest is sick too. Two sick kids and I'm feeling it too. Not much going to happen here this weekend im guessing.
