Piranha Big Block motor!

WOW! Has anyone else tried this new Piranha motor?, I did some testing last night with my new showdown chassis, and these things are like greased lightning! Even with Pauls finest xpg's in the FF category, Traction is elusive to say the least.
These motors have a very smooth response to even the lightest trigger pull, and can creep around the track at the slowest speeds. I will need to add some weight for sure if i want this car to hook up! I usually dont care for any high performance motors beyond an M/T-5,And even those are mostly for fun runs and specialty cars, but this Piranha could easily become a go-to motor for me. I tried it on the road course, and it worked equally well at lower voltages, if not better than some of the others. Bottom line, these motors are great, regardless of the low price. I dont concern myself with rpm's and/ or torque values,as i am a seat of the pants racer. If it preforms well, thats all i need. These are good motors :D
My humble opinion of course

I failed to mention in my initial post, that i run lower voltages on both my tracks than most people do.
I am sure this has an effect on performance, But i like controllable scale speeds, and i like to have some guts coming out of the corners. These wont be replacements for my classic sports cars,as the M/T-1 works great for those, but for sure an alternative on my Oval. I will be trying them in some GT cars though.

Thanks for the positive feedback on the Piranha motor Bob...
I knew within 30 seconds of running the motor for the first time it was going to be a great all around motor. Like you, I run MT motors in my older style cars, but in the faster ones like Slot.It cars, these motors are awesome!! As you mentioned, it has a smooth power band from bottom to top... :auto-checkeredflag:

We have sold quite a few of these motors and everyone has nothing but good things to say about them. In fact we will be running a 6 hour Enduro as a pre test for the Michigan 24 hour race, at least one of the teams will be running that motor as a test.

My initial shipment is now all gone. I'm waiting for another big box full of them and I know they will sell just as fast. This motor is very smooth!
