What a week. Had some forum issues to deal with, hopefully I have them all sorted out. But hey, it's me, so anything can happen.

Cold outside, but things are heating up around here. The big toy show is coming soon, but already we are seeing sneak peeks of what is in store for us in the next year.

I do not hide my appreciation for Carrera and I think a LOT of you are going to be very happy. Watch the forum as you might get a nice surprise :)

And as much as I enjoy our ready to run models, scratchbuilding is allowing me to have the models that we will just not see.

Have you noticed some of the great modeling going on around here? Some of the Panamerican entries as well as good old rebuilds are pretty motivating and fun to see.

Not to mention the Sportsman Showdown models. :) (Shameless plug alert)

Many newcomers have emailed in and the comments are all positive on the modeling they see. Having the gear available to create truly unique models is a big motivator for some of them and hopefully we will see more and more folks posting their latest projects. Just a simple repaint is inspiring. Speaking of that, well, I have to keep my mouth shut...I think that little bit of news is also coming soon :)

Most everyone here mixes the ready to run fun with unique modeling. It's a natural progression in almost any hobby.

Sure has been some great stuff on here lately! Cant wait to check the board every morning to just see what beautiful stuff has shown up! I have some backbench builds in the finishing stages to post very soon, mostly to show how versatile the "Stinker" chassis design is, It will include the Stinker GP, The stinkette,(for midgets) I have to thank Harry for introducing what i believe to be the most simple, straight up yet very functional chassis design i have seen for Scratch building.The ultimate platform for home racing , that can be modified for just about any car body out there. From Pan Am to Saturday night specials, to the twisty road courses, This is my new chassis of choice. The Brass chart is a Godsend for those of us that suffer from CRS.

(there's even a rumor of a "Stinker 2.0") yet to be Homologated for Sanctioned Fun Running. :lol:

As always a day late, but I have made progress on the AE86 Trueno (Corolla) just need to figure out the body mounts as usual. Picked up a Scaley 69 Camaro #87 at the LHS for $10. The chassis was damaged, actually split down the middle, but I think I fixed it. I used a combination of Tamiya liquid cement and super glue. Used the Tamiya stuff first and while it was still wet applied the super glue over it. It took several hours for the area to setup, but looks good now. :)
