Front motored Alfa TZ2

Alfas have always been one of my favorite cars. Today I purchased a Fly Alfa TZ2; I love the lines of that car. I knew it was a front motored car when I purchased it and I knew that it had independent front axle stubs. What I didn't know was how wobbly those front axle stubs would be.
I plan to build this car out and run it in the IPS proxy. I now know that one of the things that I'll have to do is to deal with is the front axle. Since I'm going to run it as a front-motored car I can't put in a solid front axle and the rules for this proxy don't allow a solid front axle anyway.
So, what's the best way to deal with this front axle stub slop? Are there any standard fixes that people have used over the years? I could use some advice; thanks.
Allan

Hey Audi, I just bought one for, the same reason, special series of front motored cars.
So your post is timely as are the answers.mI'm still waiting for mine in the mail, so I will keep watching here to see what you do and how it works.
All, the best
Bob

Thanks goosenapper and Harry. I like the brass bushing within the existing plastic axle holder. I plan to run CBD wheels, so I'll be interested in being able to get the front wheels on/off, as needed. Is the standard Fly axle stub 3/32"? If it is, then I should be fine with it. Otherwise, I'll cut some 3/32" music wire to size and solder a washer to the back to help hold it in place. I plan to tune the front ride height by truing the fronts, rather than by adjusting the stubs up and down.
We'll see how it goes.
Allan
PS - where can I get an M2 tap?

It looks like that turned out very well. I didn't think you'd have the clearance between the stubs and motor for that kind of set-up, but it worked.
Well done! :handgestures-thumbup:

Nice job Allan.
Very precise fitting of the axles in regard to the motor.
Mine is the blue one so I will try the same thing.
Thanks
Bob

Nice work Allan.
I guess I will get to drive the car about June this year.

Not sure where I'd be with any of my cars now, if it wasn't for the help I get from Toronto. Thanks, Chris.

Really nice build! I was wondering, what are the wheels that you used? Are they SCC? Can you share the size of the wheels? I have one of these and you've inspired me! :text-bravo:
