So far the year is starting out pretty good.

The only one I have for the year is the Scaley VW Bus which is in pieces now as I'm trying to lighten it as the body is so heavy. They could have made it a little thinner and saved some plastic. :)

I managed to score the 57 early on when they re-released it! I didnt want to miss this round like i did the last one.
Got the V-dub too, but it now resides in Gulf Livery.

Got this trio of used Porsche 917 longtails from Cincy's recent Collection sale.



I believe they're built up Top Slot resin kits and came complete with Fly Porsche 917 chassis and running gear.

Man! I'm so ticked I passed on that Challenger!!!

I got this from a Dutch seller for a very reasonable price. Stunning livery. Runs nicely after a few simple adjustments; uncoupled the body, shifted the pinion on the shaft to clear some interference with the tire, sanded the hubs and added Paul G rear tires. There are a few more things to do, but I will stay with the original design and not add aftermarket parts. I think the performance of these Fly classics is just about right as it is.

I occasionally treat myself to a rtr resin car, and here's one I couldn't let pass - a Volvo PV 544 from MMK (France).
Having spent much of my childhood in and around one of these cars, the shapes & curves and proportions are deeply engrained in my head. This model by MMk is quite good. There are a some misses of course, notably the windshield which should be more curved, but the overall impression is alright. Thanks MMK!
