Are jumps necessary

Dear Sir not trying to stir up a mess or say somebody's wrong here. I'm trying to learn I've been taught by this very form the jumps are a necessary . When I asked what I can do with my controllers that we're getting too warm when I say warm you can smell them getting hot due to of the length of tract I was running I was told to put jumps in. This is way back when I was running Artin . So please take the time to explain what you doing different so a body can use his or hers controllers the set comes with the box thank you

You could pick up a couple Parma controllers cheap on eBay and just use gator clips with a standard power track. Haven't seen the track for a minute, that bank looks like too much fun :music-rockout:

jumpers = power taps

there is a great article from Harry on the Home Racing World website - called "painless power taps" ...

the joints of track pieces are not the best electric connections - therefore you want to the get even power all around the track - you need to distribute the juice evenly to all the track - with power taps.

it depends on the track if you need power taps or not. carrera track works better than artin. on artin track, you need power taps every 2 to 3 meter, if you install the track permanently.
it´s always different if you change layouts from time to time. Or the track is not fixed down to the table.
