Correct Peter, I read it wrong. we need some more tracks. mine is still iffy at best. I am making progress but still a lot of work to do just to get it usable, tape, wiring, timing, etc. . . if anyone else was thinking of hosting, now is the time to step up. this thing is dwindling fast

hey guys
it appears that this thing is about to fizzle out. my track is not going to be ready for a while, and we only have two other tracks in the line up. as Bro said there are many things yet to be sorted, i could have done a better job at getting things sorted and ready but i am learning. so if it needs to be postponed until we have more tracks, cars and interest. . . so be it. my track troubles couldnt have come at a worse time, but i guess i will have a much better track for it when we do get it going. hopefully before the end of the year cuz the decals on that pace car read 2013 :lol: :lol: . so open to any and all suggestions. if you are interested and havent spoke up about hosting or car entry now is the time to say so. we need tracks and cars

Sorry to hear that Transam.

As I am looking at running a proxy possibly next year, I have been watching how various proxys progress, or not as the case may be.

All of the successful ones I've seen on the continent have continual threads from the original announcement right up to the event to keep the event alive and in people's minds. This usually takes the form of entrants showing their builds as they progress and updates from the organizers with info and posts about the tracks.

I am still deciding whether to go ahead with mine or not, it depends how well I get it running I think.

Sorry, did not have time to write all the things that i wanted to type.

I´m very sorry to see this proxy not running, the idea is great and it would have meant seeing some great cars!

From my point of view, restricting the entries to a specific time and type of car will limit the entry from the start, but, hey, if anyone wants to see a specific series run, it´s okay, but it´s limiting the entries.
Even for the U2 proxy - 3 participants with 6 or 7 cars - the entries have been limited. Was it still fun? YES!
A proxy can even be fun with only 2 participants and 2 tracks, but this is only my opinion. If we have 3 tracks (and in 2 months i think even Mickey can finish track so that he could run the last race of the series. My entry is ready, so it´s easy for me to type, yes, i´m still in. And still willing to host.
Sorry for the late reply and really sorry to see this proxy not happening.
