Qualifying has started!

As suspected, there were the occassional runs for the scenery ...





BARC Team is wondering what is up with the sidewinder powered Porsche. No power coming to the drive train. DNQ for this nice car ...







all cars except the BARC Sidewinder Porsche did qualify for the final runs!
5 cars were under 9 seconds during the qualifying - talk about fast, really fast! Only 3 cars stayed above 10 seconds laptime.
This will be a really challeging, fast field!

BARC Racing Headquarters.

The qualifying results were not what we had hoped for. The number nine CN BARC Porsche was a new design and issues arose with this design that lead to the DNQ. BARC beleives there are no failures, only opportunities for improvement. The fuel pick up system was a problematic, and the stresses of racing brought out the design weakness's in at least three ares, Pick up, gearing and front suspension. All these areas were suspect going into this race and the DNQ proved our suspicions.

Our hopes are now pinned on the the CN BARC Porsche number 7 car for these weekends race. A more conservative design should result in decent time although the lack of grip is an issue. Because of this tire manufacturing is now part of BARC Racing. A prime example of how racing drives us to improve.

Racing is important to BARC technologies. Through it comes improvements, and clear goals. BARC would encourage all to embrace the opportunities that racing brings to the " Hobby". A big Thank you goes out to Peter for again hosting the ProNoMag. BARC looks forward to this weekends results and wishes all the competitors the best of luck in this years race. The cars entered look great and the times returned will be of great interest to the BARC racing team.
