This is great stuff. I agree that this may be away to add different radius turns to your layout and do it fairly inexpensively. I know the craft stores in my area sell the board and have 40 or 50% off coupons in the Sunday papers!

Hi Roland.I would call the outer surface a thin cardboard.The foam in the slot is not abrasive.This is a little different then the type that will crumble into sand.

DF,
Foam core usually comes in 30 x 40 inch sheets.
You can buy half sheets but it's more economical to by full sheets.

yep 30x40 or so,maybe a little smaller.I just bought some that we were going to use for boarders.I think they are around $2.70 or so at Walley world.Hobby Lobby has bigger sheets,but with a bigger price.So far so good.Kinda fun to see the cars speed up over the foam.I'll check Saturday for the price and size as we still need those boarders..
