Jouef slot cars,the French Conection..

I have been following kev's passion for jouef for several years . he is the world's English speaking (writing anyway) authority on these little gems. there was a American jouef distributor based in new york until the late 80's . so there has to be some cars stashed away. the last jouef cars were artin cars repackaged. there is a great French site listed on kev's forum where the creative ingenuity will astound you. breathtaking modeling and chassis construction skills. use google translate to be astonished or just look at the pics to be amazed. I have learned a great deal. be nice to kevin and he might just share his one of a kind special 1/43 custom slot cars. sights to behold I assure you. welcome to the forum kev.

There are two French Jouef forums, both are very good;
Gentlemen Drivers & retro-jouef.
The guy who runs retro-jouef (Bruno) also sells an amazing array of spare tyres for slot cars. He ships worldwide.See the link on his forum.
Also, don`t be afraid to use Ebay France. Many sellers will post to America. Just ask them. I can`t speak a word of French, I just use the Translate button!

Well I received these two little jewels in the mail today.Great looking and running cars.
Also had a note in with the cars to tell a little of their history.
The Green car is a BRM F1 made between 67 and 68,UK issue.
The grey car is a Porsche 904 GT also made between 67 and 68,UK issue..
These are smooth and fun to run..Very well planted in the slot ,and just fun to watch go around the track.
Thanks to my Friend for these great additions to my small collection!
