yes mas-----24 miles is great and pretty easy if you start early in the am and get 11 miles in before the first radio shack opens at 9am. you drag out the next 13 over a 13 hour duration just walking and looking . the pros of such a endeavor??? 1. it is healthy and you discover a 43 year old record store that not only sells vintage vinyl records but newly released 2014 reissued 12 inch vinyl pressings of lou reed, james brown, tony bennett etc. . what was amazing was to see 20-30 years old actually buying them. you can't buy a slot car anywhere in a city of 800,000 but you can buy beatles 2014 pressings........in mono. the cons?? i became a human garbage disposal for the next 72 hours. 2 steak sandwiches, 10 baked potatoes , 8 hot dogs, 2 extra large pizzas, 3 servings of spaghetti and garlic bread, a roasted chicken, and a large box of cheese its. also bananas and apples but whose counting????? you also get pretty lazy. if i didn't have a well stocked food supply i would have eaten those motors. sunday i felt pretty good though tired but monday i was sore. i walked 6 tuesday evening so now i am back to the usual 8. and not very hungry so i guess i am back to normal. i take the super long walk 2-3 times a year.
