As much as I would like to try to build a routed wood track

it's just that I got way, way too many cars with magnets that wouldn't work on wood track.

It would take hundreds of tires and guides to tune them all

so it's gonna be painted Carrera GO track with aprons, same scenery stuff than before but not the lights.

Lights were nice but made cleaning the track very difficult, they stuck to sleeve and snap broken too easily too.

Table allows to build a 2.5 meter long straight and I was thinking about maybe setting up first one meter long straight

then banked curve and then the the 2.5 meter straight.

Rest of the track would be with more curves, so it would resemble little bit of Indianapolis F1 track.

Nice job on the track! It looks to be fast with the long straightaways. Have you decided on what your going to use for the aprons?

Aki, I was amazed at the difference after I painted my plastic track with flat emulsion house paint, also known as latex. I do not run magnets and all of my cars suddenly became very drivable, even Carrera GO cars with pin guides and standard tyres! But I do run reduced voltage.

in the picture 3 posts above - the lower left corner, which is connected with short straights - it that a R2 or an R3?
because the short straights do no good when driving no magnet ...
if it is an R2 i would exchange these short straights and the R2 against an R3 if thatt´s possible. just for the flow of driving ....

one PS for each lane is a good idea IMO and with 0-30V, 3A you are on a very good base, should be sufficient for anything with 1/43rd wheels!

Nice aprons, i hope there are long enough after the turns ... some cars tend to move even 1ft (30cm) after the turn ...

first print of the 4WD chassis - looks good to me.
gearing 15/8 on 2mm axles seem to run nice.

i forgot to order wheels! silly me.
