hugger orange on the 70 or even a light green metallic which was very popular in the day. i was around when these cars were still daily drivers.(my dad owned a 701/2 Z-28..when i was 3 back in 76. my first muscle experience)

You could go with what my 72 RS color was, can't remember the name but I can describe the color to ya it was a gold/burnt amber type metallic it would show gold in day light an under the street lights it look like a burnt amber in color darn I just can't remember the color it was a factory color had the RS repainted before I sold the car.
