Postby OldDogMotorsports » Wed Aug 26, 2015 9:30 am

okay gang, now I`ve been reading alot about different people making all sorts of 3D parts for our slots,so it got me to wondering.....WHO`LL BE THE FIRST TO MAKE 3d BODIES???? I haven`t got the slightest idea of whats involved, but it would havta be a plus for all scales,so give me some input about this, and you 3D GUYS give us an idea of what all is involved, and approx.cost of setting up for 1/43 bodies!

i can design technical parts, but not parts with "free areas" or parts with a floating design like a car body.
any how, the "detailed" plastic from shapeways would be awesome when it comes to body details like vents, etc, but it is far to brittle for a slot car body. bodies out of that material would be needed to be recasted in resin.
and the "strong and flexible" material doesn´t offer enough details IMO.
