This is the thinnest body I have ever cast. Thickness of the walls between 0.5 and0.6 mm.
The origin is a real 43rd scale diecast truck. Its cabin´s weight is more than 60 grams. The resin cabin weighs 20 grams.

It is a Kenworth truck.
There is one thing that is not to be underestimated - the thinner the resin is the more sensible / brittler it becomes.

Cool video OL Mike....
Casting certainly is fun and thin bodies with good detail is the desired goal.
All resins have a hardness rating which could also translate to the brittleness factor. Have a look at your product label.
The resin I mostly use is rated at 65shore but have used 72shore.
"Shore," sure does seem an odd word to describe hardness but it does.

Thanks, but all this is not new to me. I´ve been casting for ca. 30 yrs. now. Nevertheless this body has the thinnest walls I ever made. Except the tiny parts in 1/700th and 1/144th scale I have to make now and then.
If you want to have an impression what can be done with this really nice and exact scale truck, have a look here. Although in German, the pics speak for themselves.
