I have been working on some track alterations and scenery at Kleskun Hills as I get it ready for the Proxy race this fall. Inside and outside borders have been added to the GO track to allow side by side running of 132 scale cars, and of course the straight was changed to Carrera 132 track with digital pit lanes. Lots of room for drifting 143 cars through the corners now.

The pit garage in the photo is a photo realistic cardboard cut out. I am going to replace this with an 8 car Pit garage built out of hobby aircraft plywood, and plan on having 4 pit stalls along the pit lane with fueling gear.

In the 3rd picture you see a audio transducer. This is mounted to the Blue Styrofoam base this layout is built on. This is connected to my laptop turning the whole layout into a speaker. I run ambient race sounds, and also the digital timing software gives audio updates of current race conditions and standings. I am going to build the "Official timing booth" over this transducer to hide it.

Transducers turn anything into a speaker. So the whole layout produces sound waves and you can't tell where the sound is coming from. It is just there.

Cheers

Dan

Great looking track. The mixing of the different scales and types (analog/digital) is interesting. The transducer is way cool.
