Lloydl from what I can tell it looks like a Holden ute from Australia but I could be wrong but that is what I think it is.
Cheers and Merry Christmas

Martin, who made the master for it years ago, thought it was a Buick, but I didnt think they did pickups.

From the looks of the "silver streaks" on the hood and the fender bulges I'd say it looks like an early 50s Pontiac. I believe Pontiac did Utes down under back then. Perhaps one of our Aussie or Kiwi friends can shed some light. Definitely not a Buick. Is it, in fact, 1/43 scale? If it was 1/32 I'd be all over it.

I think Sarge is right, but I think you may be looking at a 1954 Pontiac Chieftan Deluxe Wagon with the rear roof area cut off.

What you have there is a 1953 Pontiac Ute. I could find references in print but no pictures of the real thing but I did find this:

It's a 1/43 Brooklin diecast and I think the source for your resin's mold. According to what I could find they were actually built on Chevy Ute frames and just had the Pontiac front clip and trim. Hope this answers your question.

You go it! The '53 had the trim strip straight along the same line all the way down the rear fender. The '54 had a chrome drop at the front of the rear fender. I saw a shadow on the photo and was sure that was the chrome drop. I didn't even look after I saw that or I would have seen the strip running all the way to the back of the car.

It turns out that my friend, Martin Field, made the brass master for this truck for R&J models in the UK, together with a 4 wheel trailer and a Raysoncraft drag boat. The photo is of a white metal model in primer.
I was just interested as I had not seen one of these and cant find photos of it!

Hi all,
I'm the guy that made the master for R&J Miniatures and have just discovered this body in my son's bits drawer, so offered it to Lloyd, who has another couple of my models, a Ginetta G15 and my old Jaguar XJ13 to mould from.
I do have the fully finished Pontiac Pick up with the Raysoncraft drag boat on a trailer (also from my brass masters), but we can't find the key to the china cabinet that they are in, so no pics, yet!
