Hi I am looking for some 1/43 sized motors for a couple of smaller kits I am turning not slots
Would appreciate some info on where to buy motors
Looking for either mabuchi sh-030sa or small can motors
Like they use in Carrera Go cars. I was planning to use ff050 motors but think they will be too big for what I want
(Matchbox SS100 and Aston Marin kits)
Cheers
David

Hi David, I get most of the motors I use, mainly Mabuchi 030, as used in Tomy AFX and Micro Scalextric, from ebay. They are cheap and plentiful and would give good vintage performance for those kits. Ranch Design also sell these and the 030 can, Radioshack, type motor.
Regards, Lloyd

You might want to try Slot Car Corner.
They have just what you are looking for.

Hi David,
SlotCarExpress has some Carrera Go! replacement motors. Ranch-Design maybe has some G14995 motors left, same size as SA030.
The Radio Shack motors are the same size as the go!motors, but the motor axle is shorter.

So I think what I want are some of the HO Boxer style - SH-030SA. The specs on the one that datto listed seem ideal (16k under load). When I looked on Slot Car Express and American Slot car World they mention them as high speed motors which seem to be 20k+ or 30k.
Is there a performance difference (aside from torque) between these smaller motors and the Fc-130 1/32 motor or does 20k = 20k.
I am looking for something that will drive like an NC-1 car not an NSR - I need a 14K motor rather than 20k+. Or is the 20k motor likely to be only as power as a lower spec FC-130 motor.
One thought is given that these motors are the same as the Ninco Go Kart motor I could put a higher spec motor in the Kart and put the kart motor in the Jaguar / Aston but I don't want a 25k or 30k+ motor for the Kart or the kits.
cheers
