Since any under 2-liter trans/am cars are going to need scratchbuilt, or heavily modded chassis, Use this thread to post any suppliers or products that you think could help improve the field. If you have a secret weapon you want to keep under your hat, that's totally cool, but if you know of some links or products that could help your fellow racers out, please post them here.

Ranch-Design is, of course, ground zero for scratch-building. Steve has a new narrow chassis that should fit under a lot of the eligible cars, and of course wheels, motors, gears, etc.

If you're going REALLY small, you might want to look into HO hardware. This place has LEETLE TINY WHEELS and LEETLE TINY GEARS. It also has wikkid hot (and wikkid expensive) boxer motors"

Being the modest fellow he is. Marc did not mention that Immense Miniatures has two 1/43 chassis available. These ae 3-D printed chassis that will hold bushings are adjustable in wheelbase. One for can motors and for boxer type motor. I have both offerings and they are sweet!

I got custom wheels from Ranch-Design that fit the Heller Mini. Tires maybe a problem as i got them from Kevin.
Is there a sour e for custom, unusual tores for 1/43?

Since Ted mentioned it :) yes I have a couple adjustable wheelbase printed chassis available through Shapeways. I've removed the markup on The HO Boxer chassis and the Radio-shack can motor chassis in the run up to the proxy. They're still not totally sorted out to my satisfaction, and I'd like to see what you guys do with them, and what suggestions you might have.

I didn't know there were so many cars entered. Good list!
Trans Am Series Beetles were used in The Trans-Am Series for the two-liter class from 1966 to 1967 and again in 1972.
Since the super beetle was made in '71 and on, the regular beetle was used in the first races in the '60's. Super Beetle in '72.
I got a beetle model kit off the Bay that was shipped last Thursday. It will be here in a couple of weeks and I intend to put it into silicone as soon as I get it. If there are people who want one, pm me and I'll get one in the mail for you asap.

Hi Ted,

I just edited to VW Beetle. I am not sure about a few because the entry list doesn't specify year. An example would be a Lotus Cortina. I know the Mk.1 raced, but the entry list for those go into years where the MK. 2 may have raced. I have seen some pictures of the Beetle in Trans-Am. If I come across them again, I will try to post. It may be a good idea for me to post next to the car type casters that have it available.

I have seen photos for most of these cars in T/A, but not the Anglia or Imp, . As I would like to do an Imp, can anyone help with a photo please?

I do have molds for the following cars, butr cannot be certain how soon I can cast them. If anyone wants any, please message me and I will let you know what I can do.

These are standard/stock bodies, without flared wheel arches, unless specified.

Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV Stock shell (I think I still have that mold) The one with flares is a bit overboard, so probably won't be running that one.

I hope to have a Datsun 510. My handle is Datto, after all...
