Bought a '65 'Stang late in the year of 1969. Turquoise w/black vinyl top, black interior, 289 with dual exhaust, and 3 speed manual transmission. After trying all the various carburetion available and a 4 speed, the best it ran was with the 3 speed and a 500 CFM Holly 2 Bbl. She was a runner. The early Dart 340s would only beat it by 1-1/2 car lengths on the street strip. The Cuda's and Duster 340s of the time were just the opposite result. The Chevy 283s and 327s weren't even a test. The big block cars were a different result for the 'Stang.
Traded the '65 'Stang for a pre-unit 650cc BSA motorcycle after returning home from the Army in 1973.
