You can see the green stuff on the edges of the castings. Small bubbles or voids appeared there but not enough to ruin the casting. I filled them up with the two part epoxy called Green Stuff. You can Google it.
It is very strong but takes over nite to cure.
I think that after the pressure pot is running, the casts will be better as far as little bubbles are concerned.

Chuck, the bodies are available from me but I have not yet gotten the bumpers cast or "Glass" in. I suppose a guy could do " glass " from clear sheeting for now and glue it in from the inside. Headlight lenses and taillights are up in the air too. I just wanted to "show off" a little. It has only been two days since the diecast has come in. I will be working on casting bumpers for it also. So for now they will take a lot of modeling to finish them off. The whole "kit" idea is a good one. Guys can Pm me if you are interested.

I need to get some wheels and tires in from Ranch Design. Then I will see if a fender flair will be necessary to fit them under the body for the U-2 proxy.
My back is still giving me fits so it will take some time to get this going. Lifting is imposable right now.

Now where is my fly swatter???

Ted, One comment on your casting, (Something I learned from someone else) Extend the base of your mold down past the lower sills and then scribe a little area along the edge that goes in about 3-16's or so. this defines the lower portion of the model a little better and creates a sort of dam that allows the resin to wash up against it and you to get the sides nice and thick. It can also kind of help keep the resin contained if you do a 2 part mold. Other then that I hate to say anything because those Resins look better then mine!

I am always looking to improve my casts. I am hoping that the pressure pot will help with the edges of the bodies. Right now I am putting drill holes into the edges to make a reservoir for resin and letting air out, gates, so to speak. A jewelry making technique. Some times baby powder dusted into the mold before casting helps or some of that Pearl Powder that is used by the 1-1 body shop guys. Both help to wick in the resin and get rid of air bubbles.

I don't know if this will help you or not, because I am not an expert and your casts look really good the way they are, and everyone does it different. I extend the clay outward about 1/4" outward from the wheel houses instead of flush with the fenders. When I turn it upside down to cast, the extensions support the inside plug from sagging and making the top of the car too thin. I don't know if you have that problem, but I did and it fixed it. Another problem it helped were voids in the edge of the cast because of bubbles. I was able to cut away vent holes in the plug with an exacto knife at the problem areas and the extensions would support and index. I would pour in the resin and drop in the plug and the excess resin would squish out of the vent holes I cut. I would then be able to trim off the excess after the resin dried. You have the similar thing going on, your windows are keeping the two halves apart. The pressure vessel will help a bunch. I found it helped my silicone molds the most, but I used it for resin also. I was using a smooth on quick setting resin, and Mold Max 30 rubber for most of my stuff. I see now on smooth on's website, they want ya to post cure it a 150 degrees for like an hour and a half.
