I have been chatting with Steve at Ranch Design. It seems that Trey has disappeared from the slot car scene for now.
We have decided that in order that these classics not be lost to the slot car community the car bodies that he was doing will now be done by me. Steve has sent me box of cars that will be used as the basis for new molds. Non of the molds Trey has are available right now so we are going to start from the beginning. This means a lot of work for us and a lot of time and money involved.

So which molds do I do first?
How about you guys help me decide
I'll post the list of the cars Steve is sending at the end.
Votes for your car to do first are fine but paid for orders would be way better.

I think that my break even point is five cars ( well I am going to call it 5 cars ) if the donor car is provided. So even though I will eventually do the whole list and add my own cars to the list, 5 cars will give me enough to do the next one in the line. That many orders will move that car to the top of the list. So I am taking pre-orders.
If you really want a car, order five and that will assure it goes to the top. You'll have a fleet for iroc racing or a set for different liveries.

I am working on a web page and am told by my developer that it will be a couple of weeks till one is ready but I have already bought a domain site.

I am having a huge problem with long posts. As soon as the typing reaches the end of the box it disappears. I can scroll to make it appear again but as soon as I type even one letter it disappears again. I type so poorly that I got to see what I am doing. Harry can you "fix " this?

For now the "Glass" portion of the casts will not be there but I am working on that.
I do have an awesome vacuum former and a pressure pot.

Dang! it did it again.
Some of my casts are:
Th Chaparral 2d
The Beatle
"70's "cuda
McLaren F1 GTR
Porsche 917K
And these Rally cars
Peugeut 207 S2000
Ford Focus WRC
Citroen C2 Super 1600
Renault S1600
These are casted now in small quantities and can be shipped.
Except the 917 which I have to redo the mold of.
If you don't see your favorite on the list Pm me I may have it, or can get it.
I have about 25 more models in boxes I have been collecting.

Wow, I've been waiting all day for this post!!!!!! :shock:

BTW Ted, there are a couple more bodies in the package than what I told you. Also, the Old Ford Coupe will actually be an Old Plymouth Coupe (sorry but it will work for the dirt trackers anyway).

There's a lot more where these came from. Some bodies are from JPMC and are REALLY hard to find now - like a Corvair or early Valiant! Those will come later.

This is somewhat an expensive endeavor on Ted's part with the outlay for the mold material, the resin, and the equipment. Let's be certain to support him to make it worth his while. :handgestures-thumbup:

Anyway, the load is on you now Ted - don't let us down, eh? :D

The Datsun 510 is a race ready car - spoilers and air dams. It is in the box heading for Ted. :roll:
I don't suppose anyone would want one of those, eh? :whistle:

I would definitely like some 64 Falcons if you have one in there please.

Here's another thing I was asked about.
Custom cars. I will consider doing a casting if you provide the Donor body. Price will have to be negotiated on a per car basis and it will depend on how much time I have.
Usually what happens to the donor body is I get to keep it and they are often destroyed as far as a display model is concerned but can be saved and reused to make another mold when the first one wears out, and they do wear out, sometimes rapidly, depending on the undercuts, etc. I have gotten as little as five casts from one mold, and as great as 25.

A paid for preorder will get you a car body faster then " gee, it would be nice if you made a ... " John, but PM me before you start sending me money to see if I can do it. I don't do carvings like T/A does.
I am looking at a GTO. I think there is one on E-bay right now. Buy it and send it to me. We will talk.
