Hi, 143er asked for a link to photos of my rally track in progress. Unfortunately my previous Little Monte thread on HRW was lost in the move, so here are some photos of the track build so far:

you could have planned a little bigger run-off areas, ey, Lloyd?
that´s a really nice track and for sure hard to drive - get that cars off the track and do some laps ;) ;) ;)

Haven't seen this one for awhile Lloyd. Good to see you've not forgotten it completely.

No Ember, havnt been able to get on with it for a while, but have just repainted and taped the roadways. Hoping to finish the scenery now. Problem is that I keep finding that I have to 'test' drive it to make sure it is still ok!

Tigeracer, I used mesh (chickenwire) for the shape and covered it in what we call kitchen roll torn into strips and soaked in thin plaster. This photo shows construction.

Leadfinger1, I usually make my models/layouts with whatever I have to hand or can get locally. None of the roughcut timber will be visible when the layout is finished, so the extra expense was not needed.
