New D-slots in My Mailbox!!

Arrived home yesterday to find a box full of D-slots from ASW! :D

Opened it up to find all the newest cars and man I found myself in sort of a dilemma, They were all so pretty I could not decide which to open first!! Believe it or not this actually distracted me for several minutes!! Mainly, because I was short on time and would not be able to open them all! finally I opened the Black and Yellow Corvette! I was leaning heavily towards the 009 Aston Martin, but since I already have that exact same body on a D-nano I decided to open something else. :ugeek:

Every time I open a Kyosho, I just kind of have to pinch myself; After so many years of Begging, Scalextric, Ninco, Carrera, Etc. to build something like these and for them to actually be doing it! Well, I still don't hardly believe it sometimes!
I did not have time to run them, BUt Kyosho's are all pretty much the same so I don't expect any major surprises in that area, except that this batch of cars has more longer wheelbase cars, so I expect that on my no mag track there will be much more tail happy sliding!!! :dance:

With a little luck I can post some Pics and maybe a video, before Monday!! :roll:

as shipping from the us to austria has increased dramatically, i´m still waiting that the old world will be delivered, too.
wanted to get them for my b-day, but this will not be possible anymore ...

please shoot some pics from the DB9 and the corvette, from the side, to show the ground clearance, you maybe know that´s one of my favourite views ...

I'll have the 4 I needed tomorrow. Ordered them a while ago but had to wait for my parts to come in from Kyosho so I could finish building some of Peter's shapeways chassis and after waiting, Kyosho still didn't send all the parts!! I just ordered 2 more chassis from shapeways for AAR Cudas today but I think I'm going to order parts elsewhere. I know it's not Chuck's fault he isn't getting the parts but I can't keep waiting and forgetting what projects I have going because I have to wait so long for the parts. I don't want to dissemble any more of my built DSlots to make new ones when I can keep those and just build without having to destroy first.

I got my first four D slots in the mail the other day also...."WOW" is all I can say..Great detail as far as the bodies go, leaps and bounds over any of the other mfg. I too was like oh what one to open ???? I openned the DB-9 aston martin. I ran it quick around the track but at first it wouldn't run, braids are to narrow.I had to tweek them a little. Got it to run with-out the body on it at first & the car seamed slow. I expected them to be much quicker then what I experienced. Guess I'm used to my custom creations that are just much quicker. A little time spent tunning is needed & I'm sure it will perform better once I start messing with them. First order of buisness new rear tires asap. Then to find some hop up parts = "LOL" You guys know this is sickness right ??? !!!!!!!

Glad you go them already!
They are not that much quicker,verse other brands, but they look good running. Of course super tune them and pop in the hotter motor, and WOW!

or just crank up the voltage a "little". Without magnets on the woodtrack with tuning, they are running at 15V, so with magnets you´ll need a little bit more :) 16 or 18V should be fine :D :D :D

Yep thanks for the tip & that is actually what I did real quick to get it to run .......Great minds think alike "LOL"
Might be time to upgade to a real power supply instead of the little ones I run now :think:

My experience is very different. It's all I can do to get them to make a complete lap of my track. On some grades, they just sit and spin. Pretty, but I'm very underwhelmed with performance. I got the 911 to actually make a complete lap after sanding the tires, and adding about 10g of lead up high, over the rear wheels. Still, terrible wheel hop.

Here we go again....I haven't had a single problem with any of my DSlots right out of the box on my Ninco track. They'll outrun just about every one of my stock 1/32s. Maybe it's because I'm running them with the stock Ninco 17V wall wart. One on each lane? Maybe they just don't like those 10V power packs?

Don't get me wrong, they're gorgeous. Maybe they just don't like wooden tracks? Or hills?
