What would cause your car to lift up off the track on a straight away?

By "lift" do you mean it comes up and stays up down the straight, or does it hop along all the way there?

Add to that 'stiff braids'.

to much magnet in the rear?

Does it do it everywhere along the straight sections or just coming out of the turn after you enter the straightaway. Just curious. I think some or all things the guys mentioned could be contributing to your problem. What car on what brand of track? Could be the guide flag needs a trim or just a little grind to "round" the lower front edge. Sometimes the front of the guide flag snags at the track joints. I had this problem with my SCX cars. "Rounding" the front edge of the guide flag did the trick. Hope this helps.

I don't know, It is a 908 carrera and on the straights she'll lift off the track and fly off, in the turns she is like a rocket sled on rails,I think she is to light in the front so later today.
I'm going to try and add weight to her like bibbster said and see what happens, the tire's are a ok and she has the stock mag in her.
My 908 that has the stronger pull mag will d slot if I give it to much juice but that's my fault.

The Peugeot 908 is very partial to 2 things:
Out of round tires/wheels and the braid stiffness.
On all slot cars you need to fan out the braid at the end, and make sure it is bent properly for good contact, but NOT pushing the front end up. Adding weight is just masking the problem, IMHO.

Those objects down in the slot are know as "Slot Moles" . You need some of that critter repellant. LOL!!
